The use of bottom fermenting yeast at lower temperatures makes for pronounced bitterness & a mild floral aroma that comes from the use of North American Cascade Hops.

330ml brown bottle. Golden colour, very faint haze. Rocky white head. A bit of spotty lace left behind. Aroma is leafy, trace citrus. A bit of a fruity start, citrus/lemon hop notes in the middle. Finishes with a little lingering citrus and some nice leafy bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation. Drinkable.

Golden. Remarkably clear. Sweet and malty aroma. Fairly bland and slightly sweet taste. I’m willing to give this brewery another chance, if only to have a Lebanese beer in my glass.

Bottle 33cl. Clear medium amber, small foamy off-white head, dissipates quickly, not so much lacing; aroma moderate malty, grainy, thyme, oregano, lime, hay; moderate sweet and bitter, herbal and spicy notes; medium texture, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, finish is dry bitter with lingering herbal and spicy presence; overall not a helles as it should be, but hey quite a surprise that such an interesting and special beer can be made in the Middle-East and moreover very drinkable. Not everything is hopeless in the region!

Bottle, pours light yellow/golden, impeccably clear. Short lived pure white head with surprisingly large bubbles. Aroma of compost that has been urinated on within the past week, faint hint of fresh cut grass, some green apple. Very sweet for a lager, some grassiness, but the taste of vomit that comes quickly after dominates and lingers for quite some time. Leaves a copper/aluminum taste for a while also. One of the worst beers I’ve had in a while. Did not finish.

Aroma: bread and cereal malts, some hay and caramel. Appearance: light clear gold, medium frothy white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitter continue, getting slightly dry, malty notes of bread and grains in general. Overall: a very mediocre Lager/Helles, nothing to write long stories about. Bottle from Sam’s Beverage, Beirut.
