2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle @ RBSG 2015. Black in color with a tan head. Ashy, cigarette aroma. Some roasted malts, sweet toffee, and maybe a touch of coffee. Flavor is just really burnt and watery. Sort of acidic, too. Slight malt sweetness with notes of toffee and caramel. A bit papery on the finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at RBSG. Pours a light brown color, maybe some darker elements, a medium white head. The overall flavor is more of a caramel, toffee, light toasted malt beer. Not much to dislike or love. Cheers to brewing in Lebanon.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out cardboardy notes, along with light toasted malt and oxidation. Flavour is pretty much identical. Not very pleasant at all. Oxidized and cardboardy. Drain pour.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: AUG 21, 2015 Very poor appearance (it looks like coke) for a highly carbonated ale mysteriously called "a porter". Sweet caramel taste, and a disgusting nail polisher taste. Nothing else.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep brown color with a billowy head of a cream colored foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a ton of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is big a roasted malt with lots of sweeter smells of chocolate, molasses and caramel. Along with these aromas comes some lighter notes of a bit of vanilla and a hint of a bready smell which overall create a very brownie like aroma to the brew. Quite delicious.
Taste – The taste is a bit differentiated from what one may expect from the nose. It does start out with a decent showing of a roasted malt taste, but unlike the nose would suggest, the taste is much drier then would be expected. There is a little bit of a caramel and molasses flavor upfront, which fade a bit as the taste advances, but which are replaced by some chocolate flavors. A little bit of a vanilla and some light grain and hay come at the very end, leaving one with a somewhat drier, but not too dry, dark cake-like flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner side for a porter with a carbonation level that is rather average to slightly higher. A thicker body and slightly lower carbonation would have likely been better as they would have accentuated the dark and roasted flavors much nicer.
Overall – A decent, not overly sweet porter. Not a bad one to try, but nothing too outstanding either.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very light porter. Light bitter finish. Not much else, but it’s the best Lebanese porter I’ve had. Bottle shared at Brony tasting.
