The Porter is brewed in the classical manner, using dark roasted malts with a rich addition of Crystal malts, and is hopped with English varieties. This beer, with 5.6% ABV, has complex aromatic notes of caramel, coffee, raisins, chocolate, nut and toast.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, hops, yeast.

11.2 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a dark cola color. A one-finger head of light mocha shading is formed, fading to a thin film rapidly. Not much lacing is left on the glass. S: There’s a bit of dry chocolate on the nose, backed by very mild hopping, some fruity esters (even a hint of tartness), and some toffee. The aroma is a bit plain, but far from bad. T: The start is quite fruity, before developing a chocolaty middle and vaguely mineral-esque finish. It’s easy drinking nature offsets its simplicity somewhat. M: It’s a bit thin, and perhaps even watery. The empty finish is very disappointing, though it has a positive effect of creating fantastic drinkability. O: Not a bad attempt at a porter - however, it still needs some work. Making it a bit more flavorful would be a great start, but I at least enjoy how drinkable it is.

Dark cola colored beer with a thin foamy beige head. Nose of unsweetened cocoa, brown sugar, and a little bit of smoke. Flavor is consistent with the aroma and is pretty good, although the thin mouth feel keeps the flavors from lingering. Certainly drinkable, but not the most flavorful porter out there.

Aroma of smoked malt, and dark cocoa. Pours a great looking dark brown with a medium lasting, thick creamy head with some lacing. Taste of malt, smoke, slightly sweet with hints of coffee. Weak body, slightly watery with a short lasting smoky malt finish.

Bottle @ RBSG 2015. Black in color with a tan head. Ashy, cigarette aroma. Some roasted malts, sweet toffee, and maybe a touch of coffee. Flavor is just really burnt and watery. Sort of acidic, too. Slight malt sweetness with notes of toffee and caramel. A bit papery on the finish.

Bottle at RBSG. Pours a light brown color, maybe some darker elements, a medium white head. The overall flavor is more of a caramel, toffee, light toasted malt beer. Not much to dislike or love. Cheers to brewing in Lebanon.

12 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out cardboardy notes, along with light toasted malt and oxidation. Flavour is pretty much identical. Not very pleasant at all. Oxidized and cardboardy. Drain pour.
