Bottle from Sam’s Beverage in Hamra. Pours a dark brown color with no head. Roasted malt aroma. Medium body, even dry/sweet dark malts flavor balance. Dry finish. Starts a bit harsh but mellows quickly. Ok.

Dark brown in color... Malty toasty aroma... On par with many of the porters in the states, roasted malt and caramel character, definitely enjoyable..

4oz pour from bottle at Churchkey. Poured a dark color. Aroma was some roasted and toasted malts. Flavor was pretty rich, enjoyable roasted malts. Enjoyed this one.

Pours black with a large tan head. Nose shows roasted malt, oatmeal, lightly burnt bread. Quite moreish. More light roast as a flavour but with little to support it. Some toasty malt again. Carbonation could be a little higher.

Nice caramels and that welcome porter bite, all this porter lacks is a little more depth on the palate. The Lebanese brewers responsible for this beverage should be proud. This brew has room to grow but is a tasty malty example of the variety. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Associated Supermarket, Bushwick sixer ($15): Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is light porter. Body is pretty light. Slightly sweet. Nice amount of roasted malt. This is a pretty average porter, but definitely good considering where this is from. The best of the 961 beers that I have tried.

Pours a dark brown with a light creamy/boozy head. Aromas of smoke, light coffee, and fruity hops behind the upfront malts. Flavors of light smoke, light wood, and a slight grassy hop undertone. Watery on the palate, lightly sweet, lightly bitter and leaves a nice medium smoke aftertaste. Not to complex. The smoke stands out the most of all the other elements.

11.2 ounce bottle from my beer-of-the-month club. Pours almost black with a decent biege head. Aroma of malt, coffee, and chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and a touch of smoke. Pretty good.

Serving: Bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a medium brown color with a medium head. The nose has nice roasted malt notes with a little earthiness. The flavor comes across as traditional. A light sweetness up front with a bit of roasted malt, light earthy hops, and mineral notes. Light to medium body with average carbonation. Serviceable.

Roasted coffee and a little vanilla from the malt. Lightly carbonated and a little grassy in the hops. Salty on the first taste but the sweetness grows. Ticks the boxes as a porter but not overly exciting.
