Inspired from “Belgian Witbier”, 961 Witbier has a 5.3% ABV. The added coriander and orange peel add a sweet and spicy aroma. The light acidity and low bitterness of this unfiltered beer makes it perfect for those who prefer a light and sweet beer. This beer is bottle conditioned and has natural yeast sediment in the bottle.

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, wheat, toasted, wit bier, light to moderate yeasty, paper. Flavour is light moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120512]

Bottle in NYC. Pours clear yellow with a frothy, white head. Some cereal grain malts in the nose, mild wheat, sugars. Light to medium sweet flavor with simple, biscuity wheat and malts, dough, sugar and straw. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Doughy and biscuity malt finish, weak wheat, some white sugar and hay. Very basic. Lacks the brightness of a good witbier.
