Commercial Description:
The best barley of all grows on the Magdalen Islands. We harvest the windblown, salt-kissed grains and use them to concoct a malt with a maritime accent that gives our beers their unique character. Come to our microbrewery À l'Abri de la Tempête, relax by the sea shore and dip your lips in a brew as fine as spindrift.

Bright gold, small head. Nose of corn, fresh hay, metal and a hint of iode. Sweetness reminiscent of corn, and a metallic bitterness saved by a hint of saltiness. Body is on the light side. I agree with MDS, it lacks precision. If it weren’t for the saltiness, it would otherwise be plain boring.

Bouteille 341 ml. Mousse en dentelle qui reste présente longtemps pour finalement disparaître complètement. Couleur or.

11.2 oz bottle brought back from Montreal. Tart fruity aroma mostly of peach. Poured a clear golden yellow with a fomay white head. Flavor was fairly lousy with an overall musty cheese taste with some biterness thrown in. Think pale lager with a bitter bite. Wouldn’t waste my time on this one.

Bottle. Pours a light, clear, golden body with a medium sized soft white head. Fairly pleasant sweet grain aroma, some dough, and minerals. The body is really light with mineral crispness up front. Very thin and plain with mostly nondescript flavours.

341mL bottle. Pale gold colour with pure white head. Very light and refreshing. Flavour is light and quite sweet, with a bit of a grassy taste. Sweetness lasts longer than expected with a bit of a salty aftertaste. Excellent for relaxing in summer if you want something refreshing but a bit more interesting than your average lager.

330ml bottle: Pale golden yellow, good carbonation. Nose of grains, and malt Flavour is somewhat grassy, and sweet malt, with a slight touch of fruity peach?. Nothing to write home about, but quite a bit better than most lagers.

Pale golden with a thick foamy head. Aroma is malty with some sugar Flavor is malty, some herbal notes, a little watery, but way less then other beers of this type. Not a very complex beer, but very enjoyable on a hot summer day and more interesting than a lot of lagers.
