Boutip (2333), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jan 25, 2007 Bottle: Poured a slightly murky yellow color ale with a big foamy head with average retention. Aroma of salty malt and slightly funky yeast is intriguing to say the least. Taste is a mix between some salty malt with a funky yeasty finish kind of resembling a light saison. I’m not sure that the taste was intended that way and kind of wondered if it is slightly infected or past its due date. In any case, interesting beer from an interesting brewery. DougShoemaker (2855), Toronto, Canada Oct 4, 2006 Orange hops aroma, with malt and some fruit characters, opaque amber, slim white head. Crisp hops taste, and malt mixed with spicey fruit. Light bodied, tangy/spicey. Fair. rsans (125), Pont-Rouge, Quebec, Canada Jul 1, 2006 (341ml bottle) Aroma: hardly any, just a touch of light malt. This is a very mild and somewhat watery beer. Weak and flat mouthfeel with no aftertaste. Nothing really offensive about this beer but nothing pleasant either.
hobgoblin (163), St-Épiphane, Quebec, Canada May 29, 2006 Bottle. Golden color, bubbles and thin white head. Hops and wheat aroma. Taste is motly citrus and grapefruist, wheat. Quite refreshing, not bad.
GRM (1235), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada May 27, 2006 Brown bottle, 341 ml, bottled in February 2006, purcahsed on April 13, 2006; eye: pale straw, white head that disappears almost instantly, a bit of effervescence; nose: damp corn, malt, salt; mouth: not much taste, a bit of wet corn, a bit of bitterness, very slightly sweet, light body, thin and watery texture, a bit of carbonation, no finale per se, absolutely no comparison to the sample I had at the 2005 Montréal’s Mondial de la bière en 2005 where I fell for its salty side; overall: big disappointment

Clear yellow color with a little ring acting as a head. Not much aroma. Thin watery body with an oily texture. Starts with some corn-like cereal then moves on to some mildly bitter hops. Short finish. Light on taste. Boring. There are many high ratings for this beer, maybe I missed something but Macho Law prohibits me from admitting I’m wrong. SocietyDweller (5), Canada does not count Mar 11, 2006 Easy drinking beer. Refreshing. Malt and cereal flaver. Should be good during hot summer day.
