An enticing aroma of caramel-topped roastiness attracts the drinker to a malty sweet and earthy flavor profile where balance is nonetheless achieved while you admire the grain bill. This is an optimal session libation for those who find their Bohemian Pilsener too hoppy.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam garnishes the burgundy brown.
-This, the pilsener and a yet-to-be-brewed saison will be the three beers they market through their mini-keg system. After having tasted quite a few of their beers, I have to say they’ve chosen their most polished recipes.
-I’d say this aroma was their most alluring that day.
-The roastiness tends to override the nutty caramel sweetness.
-As for all of their beers that day, the body is lean but never frail.
-A subtle fruitiness leaks from the caramel maltiness.
rederic (1507), montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 3, 2008 On tap at the Brouhaha, dark mahogany color, with some reddish highlights and a beige head, toasted , grainy malt nose, with a sweet maltiness accent, a mild nutty caramel acent, a hint of fruitiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with an,earthy, grainy, raw toasty, biscuity, caramelized malt character, when she gets warmer a graham’s cookie accent is emerging, with a faint nutty flavor, with a mild flowery hop leafiness and grassiness, leading towards a malty, hop bittering finish. Not much aroma other than mild beery grains. Clear, dark brown red body with a quick creamy off-white head. Mild grainy malt flavour has a bit of toast notes and a long grainy finish. Medium body is smooth. Mild, repeatable, average.
(@ Vices et Versa; Montreal, QC) Lubiere (3408), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 24, 2008 A clear brown ale with a thin lacing off white head. Aroma of flour and water paste, with chocolate and mineral notes. In mouth, a good roasted malt with popcorn, cereals. Very interesting but the aroma is off putting. On tap at Brouhaha, May 2008. jerc (3268), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 4, 2008 2008-05-30. Dark brown body with a small tan head that lacks endurance. Mild aroma, sweet malt, mild nutty notes, dry toasty malt. (6+) Nice amber highlights on the edges catch the light. (3+) Flavour is mild, dry malt with touch of toasty and roasty malt, its you know, brown ale flavoured. Average palate. Straightforward, serviceable example of the style. Not spectacular, its on the mild side but its quaffable which is probably the idea. On Tap, Vices et Versas, Montreal
