Pours pretty much red. Quite fizzy. Really thin reddish head. Slightly hazy. Aroma is sour cherries and wood - with malts coming a distant third. However, in mouth, malts are much more at the front -- the sourness is certainly there, but biscuit taste coming from the malts are just stronger. Finale is a bit funky, though : we’re really in cake territory, and did I just noticed a hint of... coriander? Really? All in all : Interesting, albeit a little low on the drinkabililty and certainly overpriced. There aren’t MANY Flanders here, so we’ll take it.

Pours a clear ruby red with a medium-high slightly off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is quite surely of balsamic vinegar but also oak and strawberries. Piquant a little but not pushing my limit. Taste is moderately sour and fruity, almost cherries and raspberries but in the end just generic red berries. Never over the top and just a really nice Flanders. Body is medium, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel is oaky/vinous. A really nice local Flanders Red, wish I could compare it with la Rouge des Cantons!

A ruby red with milky character and a thin white head. In aroma, loads of sour cherry notes, light Brett, light lactic notes, some acetic and nice buttery notes, grapeskin, very nice. In mouth, a nice tart cherry with cave character, musty yet sweet, light mineral and Brett, very nice for a beer that’s close to 3 years old. 573\1500.

750ml bottle shared with Jo and Seb. Thanks Jo. Aroma: wild cherries, apples. App: hazy murky, medium white head, little to no retention. Taste and palate: medium body, lively carbonation, light sweetness, light to medium acidity finish and a tiny bit salty. Overall: quite great! Awesome nose. Gives me goose bumps. Great palate. Well worth its price.

Fiche technique Style: Sour Red Ale Format: 750 ml Taux d?alcool : 5,4%

Bottle - Cherry and tons of nice cheesy funk. Hazy red copper with a decent white head. Tart cherry, light acidic and some nice funk. Maraschino cherry with the sour acid is very nice.
