Aroma: We can easily smell the grapefruit of these American hops with other citrus like lemon zest. The presence of little meat notes are making that nose a bit less pleasant. Appearance: Average creamy head, long lasting and lacing acceptable. Color gold blond very clear. Taste: Very hoppy and lemon attack. Long lasting bitterness. Lemon and grapefruit are dominant flavors with grassy notes. A lot of bitterness. For real amateurs. To my opinion though, flavors are too basic and missing complexity. Texture is good and round but this beer is only hop and bitterness although you can can find tiny malty accents like biscuit and caramel when warmer.

Bottle (341 ml). Crystal clear golden with a medium diminishing creamy off-white and good lacing. Aroma is floral with interesting notes of grapefruit and tropical fruits that quickly fades and hints of sweetness. Taste is heavily bitter with grapefruits, pine and slight floral notes. Taste is oily. Bitter finish who last forever. Thin to medium body. Aroma is promising, but taste a slightly too bitter for my liking and mouthfeel is weird (I’m hesitating between a score of 2 or 3 for the mouthfeel). With some little improvements, this could be a really nice IPA!

pours clear golden with a very nice tall white head, excellent retention and lacing. tropicalness, sweet vanilla-esque, cherries, wild funkiness - zythos? falconer’s? nice pale malts. soft carbonation, light body - silky though. med to long grapefruity finish. hint of sweetness, honey.

Bottle - 341ml. Limpid golden body with a good white foamy/creamy head. Strong hoppy aroma with melon and grapefruit hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries grainy, oaky, and citrusy notes. Ends with a long, robust bitter finish. Very good example of American IPA.

Remake of this Cuvée under the name "Cuvée Houblonnée" (getting a regular status from the brewery?). Smell is timid earthy hops with a fresh wort (unfermented) component. Quite bitter, a small sip can still be felt on the tongue after a few minutes. Hop heads paradise. Flavors of caramel and resin abound. A nice bitter IPA that would benefit from a more aromatic hop schedule, if that is even possible with these two varietals.

My bottle [330ml] shared with garthicus & HogTownHarry. Pours a hazy golden-orange with a large rocky off-white head. Decent lacing. Aroma is sweet, herbal and grassy along with some slight perfume notes and caramel malt. Flavour is quite hoppy, backed by caramel malt, and with a big bitter finish. Medium bodied. Quite enjoyable.
