Bottle, pours a dark black with a nice tan head, the smell is super roasty and the flavour is very roasty and a nice coffee flavour as well. Really well balanced and very flavourful. Nice offering

d un noir intense avec mousse couleur moka.des arome de chocolat tres prenonce et de cafe . en bouche c est un melange de chocolat et cafe avec une pointe d amertume en fin bouche c est un melange classique mais qui tres bon (rate 74)

On tap at L’Hermite (Victoriaville). Dark brown with a small brown head and almost no lacing. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, hazelnut and slight chocolate. Tast is about the same with slight bitterness. Medium body. Slightly dry. Low carbonation. I had the impression to drink an average Brown Ale, not a Stout. After reading other ratings, I wonder if I had the good beer in my glass.

Bottle: Poured a clear black color stout with a medium light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry roasted malt notes with light bitterness with floral coffee notes. Taste is dominated by floral coffee notes with some pretty good notes of roasted malt with balanced bitterness. Body is light with good carbonation. Not the most complex stout out there but easy drinking with no flaws.

Fortes saveurs de café (voire d’espresso) et de chocolat. Malgré sa faible teneur en alcool, elle possède des arômes puissants, une amertume certaine. Les notes grillées dominent, surtout en fin de bouche. Très agréable (si l’on est amateur du genre), et surtout très fonceuse, ce qui est tout à son honneur. Une des noires classiques les plus intéressantes au Québec en ce moment.

Pours black inky viscous liquid with a moderate, staying brown head. Aroma is roasted oatmeal and dark malts with bitter chocolate and coffee notes. Taste is deep roasted malts and oatmeal chewyiness with bitter chocolate sweetness and small coffee notes.

Bottle - 341ml. Pours an opaque black body with low carbonation and a thin, lasting brown frothy/creamy head. Robust malty/hoppy aroma with strong roasted coffee hints. Its well balanced taste carries roasty, woody, and coffeeish notes. Ends with a long, strong, dry, roasty finish. Well done.

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur noire et opaque. Nez de grains de malt rôti aux notes brulées, de chocolat noir, moyen de café et de chocolat au lait (légèrement lactique) avec des traces de fumée de cigarette et de crème brûlée. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture légèrement huileuse. Léger goût de chocolat au lait et de crème brûlée (offrant un profil lactique) ainsi que des notes de fumée de cigarette lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût de malt rôti voire brûlée avec un goût de chocolat noir amer et des notes de pain grillé puis à mesure que l’on approche de la finale, un léger goût de café vient se rajouter aux saveurs déjà présentes. Post-goût long-moyen, léger-moyen amer de rôti et de chocolat noir asvec un léger goût de café et des notes brûlées.

Bottle 341ml. Pours black, with good creamy brown head, fully diminishing. Good lacing. Aroma is of chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is of chocolate, roasted malt. Somewhat bitter. Good stout, not outstanding.
