341 ml bottle. Pours an almost completely opaque, orange-brown amber with a long-lasting beige head. Smells of cereals and hops. Tastes like light caramel, cereals, unsweetened dough. Strong, sharp bitterness. Very dry. Herbal, earthy, sandy. Maybe a hint of sweet citrus, in there? It’s so strong and overwhelming! Medium-bodied, thick, resinous mouthfeel. Very solidly bitter, that’s what I’m looking for when I grab an IPA.

On tap at Vices & Versa.Appearance: cloudy brown-orange with a small white head. Aroma: mango skin, lots of sweet hops, a teeny tiny reminder of sour milk. Flavour: super hoppy, lots of fresh hops, pineapple, wonderful malt character, tangy mango skins, just a superb IPA.

Deep chunky copper and amber coloured body with a thick, soapy, antiquey tan colour - looks like a lot of Quebecois-based IPAs. Aroma of bright cascade hops, caramel, toffee, nuts, earth and a bit english-y. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a nice bright hop bite, some earthy malt behind with a little bit of grapefruit on the tail end. Aftertaste shows a lot of character and complexity with the nuts, earth, metal and bright hops all making a statement. Overall, a very nice IPA - perhaps one of the best I’ve had from the whole of Canada! I sampled this 341 mL bottle purchased from Marche Des Sauvers in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for CA$3.79 on 27-June-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 01-December-2011.

Tap at Saint Bock. Amber pour with a tight white head. The aroma is awesome. Lots of juicy fruit and tropical mango character. A little bit of fairly bright hoppiness. Grapefruit and orange in addition to some very heavy hoppiness. Bitter and resinous on the finish with a lot of bright fruity character up front. A pretty damn nice IPA.

Draught at Vices & Versa. Pours a cloudy copper-amber with an average size diminishing creamy off-white head. Lovely hoppy aroma, lots of floral and citrus hops. Flavour’s quite hoppy and fruity -- lovely and oh so easy to drink! Average to medium bodied. A fantastic IPA.

A nicely-crafted and quite hoppy IPA.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2010 Talk about an extreme Québec IPA! I don’t think I had a lot of more bitter IPAs. The grapefruit peel hop taste makes the underlying sweetness barely perceptible at the same time that it numbs your tastebuds. Medium-light body, seeming almost watery at times. I also liked the very floral and citrusy aroma pretty much. Quite enjoyable extreme-IPA but very dry.
