Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 25, 2007 Clear, very sparkling golden ale topped by a lasting white cover. An excessively clean example with soft pale malt flavours that are owned by the insistant, well-put floral, fruity, leafy hop profile. Not very bitter, but confident aromas. A bit too easy and too carbonated for me to want to drink a whole pint, but remarkably well constructed and clean for such a young brewery. MartinT (4458), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Sep 30, 2007 Updated: Jan 20, 2008My Bottom Line:
Perfumy yet restrained aromatic hops introduce enough of a citrus character to balance out the clean pale malt presence. Tame and geared towards drinkablity, this Pale Ale seems to sit on the fence between English and American versions of the style.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the clear honeyed gold.
-Bubbles are portly, yet the lean body and flavor profile provide a comfortable mouthfeel.
-Hop flavor is rather leafy and herbal, suggesting that there is an English touch within the announced American hop bill.
-This Pale Ale won’t have you do a double-take because of its originality or flavor extroversion. It’s a straightforward, docile example made for long evenings.
-A newer batch was cleaner and slightly more expressive, the hoppiness being clearer and more seductive.
On tap at the brewpub and at Le Loup Rouge. beerbuzzmontreal (2769), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jan 9, 2008 Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Aroma and flavor of citrusy hops and malt with a bitter finish. The body is medium with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. blankboy (2687), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 15, 2008 Draught at Le Saint-Bock. Pours a clear yellow-gold with an average size diminishing white head. Mild but nice aroma and flavour of hops, grain, plenty of fruit, mild sweetness and caramel malt. Medium bodied. A good version of the style, I enjoyed it.
"Bam! I’m in your mouth!" - GregClow Glouglouburp (2113), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 22, 2007 In short: Kind of a cross between a Bitter and American Pale Ale. Crisp and hoppy. Nice session beer.
How: Tap (pint) at Vices & Versa
The look: clear golden copper body topped by a long-lasting medium off-white head
In long: Crisp body with crisp caramel balanced by a hefty amount of hops. The hop profile is of the type “mix-bag” (dry and grassy, citrusy, floral and leafy). I’d even say that the balance is a bit towards the hops in this one, it would have profited from a heavier caramelized body. The carbonation is very lively, maybe a bit too much so. Overall a pretty nice beer that shows potential to be even greater. Ok, I’m someone who can enjoy a good rodeo but it doesn’t mean that I suddenly find my little cousin attractive.
