blankboy (2687), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 15, 2008 Draught at Le Saint-Bock. Pours a clear yellow-gold with an average size diminishing white head. Mild but nice aroma and flavour of hops, grain, plenty of fruit, mild sweetness and caramel malt. Medium bodied. A good version of the style, I enjoyed it.
Notes: This brew was 6.5% at the festival EnSiFeRuM (330), Quebec, Canada Nov 30, 2008 En fût à la Ninkasi. Aroma and flavor of citrusy hops and malt with a bitter finish. The body is medium with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. Glouglouburp (2113), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 22, 2007 In short: Kind of a cross between a Bitter and American Pale Ale. Crisp and hoppy. Nice session beer.
How: Tap (pint) at Vices & Versa
The look: clear golden copper body topped by a long-lasting medium off-white head
In long: Crisp body with crisp caramel balanced by a hefty amount of hops. The hop profile is of the type “mix-bag” (dry and grassy, citrusy, floral and leafy). I’d even say that the balance is a bit towards the hops in this one, it would have profited from a heavier caramelized body. The carbonation is very lively, maybe a bit too much so. Overall a pretty nice beer that shows potential to be even greater. Ok, I’m someone who can enjoy a good rodeo but it doesn’t mean that I suddenly find my little cousin attractive.
