A deep dark stout with a very thin moka head. A rather light chocolate aroma with light fruity acidity. In mouth, a chocolate malt with raspberry acidity, lighter bodied. On tap at St-Bock, Sept. 13 2008.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2009 On tap @ le mondial 2008

App.: Thick foamy brown head, pitch black poor, great lacing

Aromas: Raspberries (acid), strawberries, chocolate

Palate: long lasting bitterness, slight carbonation, creamy

Flavors: Raspberries, hints of chocolate... Black forest cake

Notes: It is a good stout, good mariage with the acid twist of the raspberries.

Objectively speaking: A velvety, creamy stout brewed with a lot of raspberry puree for the 15th Mondial.
I like: Well-extracted, authentic raspberry flavours, feeling fresh enough. The stout character is not masked, although the roastiness does not evoke many flavour association. Tart without being juicy.
I dislike: I’m not very fond of this type of mouthfeel that veils the flavours behind straight nitro-like creaminess. Metallic lanings towards the finish. Oatmeal was very timid.

Enjoyed at the 2008 Mondial. One of the special brews for this event.Oatmeal stout with pressed juice. The aroma of a stout, and raspberry. Blackish with a mocha head, very lacey. Undercarbonated. Creamy mouthfeel. A good tartness to it.
