Bottle at LCRBM3. Clear chestnut colour with lasting deep beige head. Attractive dry malt aroma, bit of spicy raisin. Thick in mouth. It has a salt and vinegar aroma. It’s ok, a bit intense and thick.

A Mes rate: Bottle at LCRBM3. Deep dark amber colour with a slight off white head. Heavy malt aroma, very sweet and slightly roasty. This bottle was just starting to show some age. Flavour follows on well from the nose with heavy fruity complexity and a high level of sweetness that is almost too much but the roasted malt keeps it all under control especially once working in conjunction with the slight bitterness in the finish. Damn good balance. Lovely mouthfeel. Very good beer.

Bottle@LCRBM. Strong and very sweet raisin and prune aroma. Reddish brown color, yellow head, good lace. Very sweet, raisin, prune, roasted malts, soft bitterness. Full and sticky. Very complex but well balanced.

3rd LCRBM. Wood, apricot and raisin in the aroma. Sweet flavor with brown sugar. Grapefruit, raisin and apricot. Quite a complex beer! Just a hint of raisin in the aftertaste.

Small yellow head, deep red-amber beer. Alcohol, fusels, roasted aroma’s, dried fruit on straw. Caramel flavour, hand-made toffees, butterscotch but no diacetyl, autumn leaves, sweet and fruity esters. Sticky, alcohol in the palate. Excellent, even when sample slightly aged. Complex beyond belief for its ABV. Grand merci!

3rd LCRBM. Aroma is very nice. It has rye, chocolate malts, butterscotch and fruits. Clear, brown coloured, off-white head. Taste is sweet, toffee malty/butterscotch chocolate with some fruityness in the background. Medium bodied. Nice Scotch. Many thanks for the share.

Thanks to Footbalm (and Muzzlehatch). Brown color with a thin head. Big molasses aroma. Powerful molasses taste with a pile of smoke. Sweet malt and plenty of sugar on the finish. Wow, what a freakin great beer!
