(500ml bottle) Pours an opaque mahogany body with a medium tan head. Aroma of toffee, toastiness, nuts, frutiness, and strong notes of brandy. Flavor of toffee, chocolate, and a hint of plum. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel.

Bottle, extra special thanks to HogTownHarry for sending this gem my way!!! Poured just slightly hazy deep iced-tea-tinted caramel with a lovely initial cap of deeper-beige head.. settled down to a dusting with a light ring and nice lacing. The aroma was absolutely delightful.. huge, rich caramel and lightly-toasted chocolate with some dark fruits represented.. lots and lots of malt.. can’t imagine that you could put more malt into a beer!

The flavor was right on par.. huge malt backing of caramel, toffee, and some dark fruits with light herbal hoppage and some smoked peat.. could have used some more smoke, but I ain’t complainin’! Heavier-bodied on the palate with excellent flow.. thick malty middle still managed to move across the palate and coat all the proper taste buds.. creamy middle with a mildly-bitter, somewhat smoky finish that stuck around for the longest time. Wow! Just phenominal!

Bottle. Reddish brown colour, with a nice white head. Nice malty aroma with notes of caramel and dried fruit. Also flavour of dried fruit, alcohol and little sweetness at the end, very smooth and nice.

Courtesy boboski. Darkest red/brown with a small, dense, tan head. Rich caramel and milk chocolate with subtle smoke and wood. Strong malt like that of a dark, hearty loaf of bread. Very rich, very tasty. Huge on the palate, smooth with just enough carbonation, matches the flavor perfectly. I’d like a little more peat and smoke, but definitely one of the best scotch ales I’ve had.

From a bottle kindly shared by Jason. Dark brown body, big fluffy head tan head. Big melanoidins in the aroma - stretchy caramel, milk chocolate, and cherry-like wood smokiness. Fantastic soft caramel and chocolate flavor with wood smoke and light bitter hops in back. This is one of those rare beers where the flavors are all wonderfully blended together into a single cohesive (yet complex) unit. Soft, velvety mouthfeel.

Courtesy jayg. Thanks man. Pours a deep red with a small off white head. Really nice looking. Big caramel and maltiness. I was attacked by the malts with fruit backing them up. Almost had a tomato smell to it too. Interesting. Huge malty and sweet caramel flavor. Full bodied with a sugary finish. Thick on the palate, aftertaste is big malts and caramel. Lovely.

Thanks a million for sharing this beer Jason Rawles! The beer pours to a deep red/garnet body with a creamy tan head. The aroma is simply unreal! Super concentrated caramelized malt, peaty, smoky, sweet dark chocolate, strawberry seeds. The flavor is something else too. Sweet, smoky, chocolate malt. So very complex that words don’t do this beer justice. Sugary sweet. Unfreaking real. Perfect creamy, really full bodied, lingering palate.

Bottle. [Thanks to Rastacouere for sharing] Average beige fizzy head that mostly diminished. Spar lacing. Mahogany colour. Rye bread, caramel, dry fruit and some burned and light smoked notes as well. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour with light bitterness. Sweet and lingering finish. Quit nice.
