2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
341 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served cold in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear golden with a decent bright white head.
Aroma: Grains, cereals, grassy hops, a bit of biscuit malt, a bit of tang and stank, somewhat fruity, borderline infection?
Palate: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
Flav.: Infection...odd tangy bitterness, some toast and bread crust, a touch fruity, bitter green herbs, tastes a little wild, grains, cereals, dusty, not great; dry with restrained bitterness and a fairly abrupt mineral finish.
Not worth $4. Not worth $2. Oh well.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from a trip to Canada about a year and a half ago, and bottled in October of 2008, so I’m doubting this will be very good still. Pours a hazed gold with a thin to medium sized white head. Old cardboard and sweet oxidized malt. Big carbonation, sweet and grainy with a slightly menthol like flavor. Really just empty and at least not as much of a papery mess as I had anticipated. Finishes with a little bit of grain and some more vague hints that maybe once this was a decent beer. Just a lot of disappointment now.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thanks to T-Ray for this Christmas gift. pours a pale yellow. aromas of wheat, faint hops and do I really smell some salt water and seaweed? body and mouthfeel much heavier than I would have expected based on its color. taste is similar to macro-brewed lager, but finishes fairly strong with some distinct hops. Fairly boring due to the style, but still miles ahead of the stuff produced by the big guys.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
341 ml Bottle. Golden color with a thin white head. Overpriced but for good reasons. Earth aroma with hints of citrus and herbs. Saltiness is well balanced. Finish is kinda bland for this type of microbrewed beer. Overpriced but for a good cause.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Really nice well-made lager! Medium gold, clear, and small settling head. Faint sweet aroma with some quality barley malt crispness. Taste begins a bit honey-malt to start then changes to some floral, slight lemon, ends in lightly bitter and distinct, lingering salty. Goes beautifully with the 3-cheese pita toast I make.
