À l’abri de la Tempête has drawn on the soil madelinot to concoct a beer with sweet floral accents. Delicately scented with a series of wild herbs gathered on the archipelago, La Belle Saison charm with its warm notes of citrus and flowers accompanied by a refreshing bitterness. A mouthful of sunshine!

Bottle; clear pale yellow with small white head; aroma-coriander, lemon, floral, grass; taste-light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, average carbonation, Coriander and grass coming strongly. Good but watered down. Refreshing

341 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear bright golden with no head. Aroma: Fairly strong and assertive lemony ginger, earthy, very slightly funky, quite intense fruitiness and citrus, lots of earthy coriander, a touch of bitter herbs, a touch of esters?, a little dusty/musty, not bad for this brewery. Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence. Flav.: Another big hit of citrus and slightly peppery ginger, biscuit, minerals, more watery than the nose suggests, still some decent earthy coriander, light herbal notes, hints of esters and funk (perhaps), drinkable; dry with modest bitterness and a fairly clean, lemon-biscuit finish.

These guys are hit and miss. This one wasn’t defective, but also wasn’t a great success.

Pour straw golden yellow light white head. Aroma sweet, honey, light grass, pepper, coriander, citrus. Taste citrus, honey, spices, floral, grassy. MF light fizzy carb. Very forgettable Saison slightly below avg.

341 ml bottle from La Barik. Pours a nearly clear, bright pale yellow with small white cap. Aroma is perfumey flowers and spices. Flavour is also floral with some light citrus and spicing that to my mind recalls rosemary and a touc of pepper. Light crisp finish. Interesting and refreshing.

Cinnamon and nutmeg herbal aroma. Slightly fruity and spicy. Effervescent and refreshing. Delicate and thirst quenching. Decent saison, some of the herbs used seem unnecessary.

Blond body with a thin white head. Aroma of malt with flowery and spicy hints( pepper ). High presence of floral and salty herbs. Dryness in mouth.Sweet bitterness at last. Well balanced at taste but not enough strong and complex.

Bottle - 341ml. Pale blond body with heavy carbonation and a thin white bubbly head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with flowery, honeyish, and spicy hints. Taste is refreshing and well balanced, but it lacks strength and complexity. Ends with a short bitter/herbal finish. Decent summer beer.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow color ale with a small fuzzy head with limited retention. Aroma consists of weak malt with very subtle notes of herbs. Taste is also a mix between some weak malt notes with some very subtle herbs notes. Body is light with medium to low carbonation. Quiet disappointed with this one since I was expecting a bigger malt backbone and more presence form the herb mix.
