malt, apricots, banana and sweet fruit on the nose. a dark butterscotch body with a very thin off-white head. The taste profile features caramel malt, ripe berries, and touches of banana, and hops. The body is rich, but the taste profile is a bit thin for a 14%er. Lacking complexity too. Disappointing.

Quite special scotch ale. I really appreciated the caramel and fruits taste with a small wiskey touch! A good bottle to share though. It it heavy.

341 mL bottle. Clear amber body. Smells boozy. Butterscotch. Caramel. A little fruity. Taste is really intensely boozy. A little sweet. Extremely bitter. Rough throughout. Very boozy and heavy. Unpleasant flavor.

Bottle (341 ml). Split 4-ways. Dark reddish copper with a thin quickly vanishing beige head. Aroma is of berries, candied sugar, red liquorice, caramel, banana notes and minty notes. Taste is not that sweet and the "scotch ale" flavors are less expressive than regular Corne de Brume but instead there’s a wide array of flavors that are much less present in the regular versions like red liquorice, mint, candied sugar, berries and there’s also caramel, alcohol - but much less than expected - and salty notes. Full body. Soft carbonation. Liquorous mouthfeel. Caramel and berries finish. Warming, but not burning finish. I wasn’t sure at all at first as the minty presence was a bit off-putting but when it opened up it was pretty good. As a Scotch Ale, I preferred Corne de Brume by a fair margin but this one definitely get some points as a sipper for the wide array of flavors and the relative balance for that kind of abv.

Fig, raisin, sweet molasses and salt. Round mouthfeel, slightly under carbonated, very drinkable. Good stuff.

Bottle. Rich toffee, raisin, fig, notes of licorice, gentle sweet finish with a warming edge. Lovely stuff, rich and dangerously drinkable, these guys really master strong and eis-style beers.

Dark ruby with a small brown foam. Toffee, malt, roasted notes, wet wood, ripe dark fruit. Very sweet. Medium body with a lively carbonation, long sticky toffee finish.

Bottle - Sweet whisky notes, some raisin and some cherry. Dark jet brown with a decent beige head. Dark malty sweetness, touch of whsky and a long roast and cocoa finish. Very nice.
