Another disappointing Estonian lager. I’m rather learning to stay away from the better named and prettier labeled bottles, but there has to be an acceptable lager/pilsner in Estonia, right? I’m still searching.
Clear, pale golden beer, small white head (as is fashion in Estonia). Aroma of brewing cerial, corn and cardboard. Flavour is rather sweet, corn, paper and something strangely reminding of the wax on envelopes or stamps. Rather disappointing.
(From 0,5L bottle)

Bottled, from Tallinn. Clear pale golden, rich but brief head. Tart, yet syrupy. Unfirm with rice and corn syrup that shifts into tin and resin i the finish. Awfully tough to drink.

568ml can bought in Tallinn, shared at the XI Beer Session 18. Nov.2010. Champagne coloured body, foamy head that disappears and leaves a filmy layer. Smells like wet leaves and tastes like paper, with some honey, dust and bandage finish. Stylish container - stale beer!

Bottle at The Meriton. Bright gold with a fine white collar that persists...until you take a sip. Aroma of glue, rubber and a hint of sherbet lemon..but that’s probably Octo’s bath cube. Tastes of licked envelope, one pine needle, popcorn and crackers with a corn snack aftertaste. Heavily adjunct-accented. Not my crap Estonian lager of choice.

Keltainen ja vähävaahtoinen olut. Tuoksusa on hieman mallasta ja pahvia. Mieto ja neutraali. Hieman hedelmäisyyttä myös. Maussakin on pahvia. En kelpuuta eteeni toiste.

One pint, 568ml, can. Thanks to Elisabeth and Stefan for sharing. Clear yellow straw coloured body to a decent, white lacing-head. Very modest aroma of pale malts. Dry fruits in flavour, notes of vegetables. Diluted bitterness to the ending. Flat mouth feel (session in Tårnrommet, Tromsø 18.11.2010).

Estonian macrolager. Pale yellow, grassy and malty aroma, some grain and malt in the taste. This one has some fairly pleasant hoppiness in the aftertaste though, so it’s not a complete loss.

50cl can from Tallinn. Poured very pale golden color with a thin white head. Vegetables, skunky aroma. Flavor sweet cooked vegetables, no bitterness. Almost drainpour.

500 ml bottle. Poured extremely pale golden yellow with white head. Sweetish, grainy aroma. Some weak grainy sweetness in the otherwise watery taste. The palate is quite watery, too. Competes with Bud & co. in the Sex in a Canoe category.
