Ungstrup (11692), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 6, 2006 A deep red beer with a huge bubbly brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate - but seems to me like cheap chocolate or cocoa powder. The flavor is sweet, but thin considering the 7.5% ABV, it has ofcourse notes of chocolate, but again of a cheap type, which doesn’t do the beer good, there’s also a slight acidity from roasted malt. Drinkable, but nothing special. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 11, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Dark chestnut brown with a warm reddish glow and an off-white, creamy head leaving some laces. Richly malty with an almost vinous nose. Lots of roasted malt, lightly sweet - but only weak traces of chocolate. Quite nice, but not very porter-like. 111105 joergen (6814), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 10, 2005 Bottled.
Dark brown coloured with a beige head.
Weird aroma of malts and corn with acidic and metallic notes.
Light roasted flavour with notes of chocolate and metal.
Tastes more like schwarzbier than porter.
