Commercial Description:
A. Le Coq’s Chocolate Porter conceals an elite mystery. The pleasant aroma and thick creamy foam is followed by a strong porter taste, made distinctive by the pungent flavour of chocolate malt. Chocolate Porter is a very pleasant and not-too-sweet draught of wintry enjoyment. The first Estonian Chocolate Porter. With love from A. Le Coq.

A deep red beer with a huge bubbly brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate - but seems to me like cheap chocolate or cocoa powder. The flavor is sweet, but thin considering the 7.5% ABV, it has ofcourse notes of chocolate, but again of a cheap type, which doesn’t do the beer good, there’s also a slight acidity from roasted malt. Drinkable, but nothing special.

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark chestnut brown with a warm reddish glow and an off-white, creamy head leaving some laces. Richly malty with an almost vinous nose. Lots of roasted malt, lightly sweet - but only weak traces of chocolate. Quite nice, but not very porter-like. 111105

Bottled. Dark brown coloured with a beige head. Weird aroma of malts and corn with acidic and metallic notes. Light roasted flavour with notes of chocolate and metal. Tastes more like schwarzbier than porter.

Bottled. Pitch black colour, beige huge creamy head. Roasted malt and caramel in aroma. Strong malty roasted flavour with also candy coming in strongly. Dark chocolate and toffee also present. Aftertaste is smooth and roasted, and lasts for quite a while.

Bottle. Almost black colour with a big baige head. Light roasted malty, bread, light chocolate aroma and a sweet light roasted chocolate, peppermint taste. Medium body and a sweet light dry finish.
