COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditional strong light beer Alcohol content: 7.0% Package: 0.5 l glass bottle The bock-type beer has been brewed for centuries in Europe. The light Double Bock is the first of its kind in Estonia. It has a pleasantly mellow taste for its alcohol content that makes Double Bock a powerful but cool beer. The recipe and taste distinctions of Double Bock have been developed taking into account the current taste preferences of Estonian consumers.

Bottled. Hazy brown in color, minor white head. The aroma is sweet and malty. The aroma has a sweetness to it from the alcohol.

500ml bottle bought in Tallinn for our Baltic Beer Session 27. Oct. 2009. Nauseating aroma of lemon, alcohol and sweaty feet. Tastes like cornflakes with sugar, milk and a dash of vodka.

strong flavours of malt, rotten fruit and a nutty end, this is one of the better double bocks I’ve yet come across.

Canned. Pours light golden with white head. Taste is lightly acidic. Palate is harsh, with metallic feel. Aromas have alcohol, grains.

Bought at Alcohol store. Pale yellow no head, aroma is sweet with alcohol, flavor is bad as well as the mouthfeel. Bad night for me. Choose 3 bad beers. Next time I ask around here.

Small offwhite coarseish head quickly disappears entirely. Yellow body. Fruity lighter fluid aroma. Dry-sweet papery apple and flour taste with toffeeish watery notes. Light body. Slight alcohol heat in mouthfeel. Hardly any aftertaste whatever. An impressive feat to make a doppelbock with hardly any flavour. Utterly useless. (0.5l bottle from Tallinn.)

Rune (8189) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 3, 2009
Shared at an Estonian drinking session, thanks to Stefan and Elisabeth for carrying a 500ml bottle from Tallinn to Tromsø. White foamy head over a bright, yellow-straw coloured body. Dry smell of sour, pale malts. Sweet and, in fact, sweaty taste of fruits with alcohol steam. Some sweet corn, too. Not approved as a double bock (Tromsø, 27.10.2009).

Can. [thank you, Feldthaus]
Pours clear, lightly neon yellow with a small, staying, frothy, white head. Aroma is grqainy, very sweet with some degree of brewing cereal. High carbonation, oily and fat mouthfeel. Sweet flavour, rather vinious, light brewing cereal and sugar. Not good.

330 ml can. From Tallinn, Estonia. Clear golden colour with thin white head. Very sweet malty aroma. The flavour is sweet too. With some alcohol and... more alcohol. And some sweet maltiness. But mostly alcohol. I can’t see the reason for drinking this kind of beer.

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, db.bock aroma, riped fruit, sugar - syrup, light alcoholic. Flavor is moderate sweet and peppery - alcohol bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090201]
