sunevdj (1511), Copenhagen OE, Denmark Dec 23, 2007 Pours a clear pale yellow with a tiny white head. Sweet and malty. HInt of alcohol and almonds. Medium dry. Medium to high fizzy carbonation. Dry finish with a hint of alcohol. KnutAlbert (2462), Oslo, Norway Apr 28, 2008 Bottle as Stiprais Walter.
Rather soft and fruity, almost like a Bohemina pils. The strength shows in an edge and a warming finish. Very decent for a strong lager. rickgordon (3077), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 4, 2003 Updated: May 20, 2004 Bottled.
Golden. Fairly malty and nutty. Not as bad as Carlsberg Elephant. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 22, 2005 Updated: Oct 8, 2006(Bottle 50 cl) From German "Double Bocks" I’m used to the type being a strong, dark, malty lager. But this Estonian variety is only dark golden - at the most. But the alcohol is definitely there. On the other hand the head has gone missing - completely. Not that different from Danish Strong lagers as for instance "Elephant Beer". Sweetish and very potent without the strong alcohol making it exactly cloying. But not an exciting beer. 201003 larsniclas (3079), Gothenburg, Sweden Aug 10, 2003 A very light, sourish, very yeasty and rather fresh one.
Sourish and sweet.
