Courtesy of an Estonian mate, many thanks Riko. Can 0,5. Pours a nice golden-orange color, clear...white medium foamy head. Nose of pale malts, grassy notes and predominant metallic smell. Some sweetness too. Watery in the mouth but decently thirst quencher. Some caramel too. Above average lager. Not bad.

Decent lager for a big brewery. Nothing to say really. Golden with a large head. In taste some malt, some hops.

Pretty damn good PL by Estonian standards--a bit watery, sure, but the light malt and hops combination is in balance, as is the carbonation and alkaline yeastiness with a citrus finish. Truly sessionable in a way that rival Saku Rock isn’t.

A nice white and thick head stays on for a long time, if the beverage is served at the correct temperature, but not much longer than any other lager-type beer. The coloration is a strong and deep golden, reminding me of all those famous Chech beers (Staropramen, Budweiser, Sarobrno, Zlatopramen etc.) and even the aroma does not differ much from them - a nice sweethsh malty aroma with a mild hint of hops in the mix, some bitter undertones present as well.
The taste is also reminicent of a real Chech beer with just the right amount of hops in the mix to add the necessary bitterness to the already existing malty sweetness. Nice carbonation also, nothing too fancy and not too overwhelming. The palate is of sweet malts and bitter hops, that completes the cycle of taste and feel in this particular beer. The name states, that this is a tough beer to behold and this it truly is - sweet and malty, mildly hoppy and just the right amount of Estoninan vibe in the mix, being the promotional beer of the World-renowned folk-metal band Metsatöll.

In my opinion - one of the best A. Le Coq beers. Unlike the other this producers beers, it does have a nice hoppy taste and better body than the others. Despite this fact, it still is an average lager beer but the producer has made a move towards better beers.

50cl can (Metsaõll) at Rock cafe, Tallinn. Sweet and grainy with hints of honey and some lighty floral notes. Fairly standard pale lager, sweet and grainy with some bitterness in the finish. Drinkable.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2014 50cl can with beautiful art by Arrak, and IBU and EBC. Pours pale orange with frothy lager head, that does nit stay for too long. Some faint lacing, but in general it looks nice. Aroma of sugary malts, some gentle hops and autumn leavs. Will be back to update.
Rerate: When compared to the rest of Estonian mass lagers - this is still #1 for me. 2nd is Puls Extra Lager Eripruul Kuivhumalaga - go get it!

0.5L can. Golden with small hat. Usual euro pale hop aroma. Sticky, sugary, boiling vegetable, cornish, flavors. Medium bitter end which is best part of this beer. The peculiar design of the can. (Metsatöll)
