Vähese alkoholisisaldusega kerge hele õlu.

A.Le Coq I is a light beer with a rich taste of hops and a pleasant smell. It has a low alcohol content – only 2,9% which is lower than all other Estonian beers currently available on the local market. A. Le Coq I with its fresh taste suits well for meals, both at lunch and dinner.

Nice, not so special. A little but intriguing but appart from a creamy body it is just a regular nice beer with golden spots and good head.

0,5l can. Pale yellow color. Small head, disappears quickly. Somewhat grassy aroma, faint hops. Watery taste, small hints of hops and sort of very short dry bitter finish.

50cl can, courtesy of and shared with Gnoff.

Can 500ml (BB 12/2011)
Thanks Kairit! Clear pale yellow color, small white head. Grainy barley and wort aroma. Light bodied. Flavor is quite expected: light sweet maltyness, plastic, corn, very light bitterness. This is not totally hopeless as it has 2.9% instead of eg. 0.5%.

Can. Light hoppy and grassy aroma. Very pale yellow color, white foam. Watery with some hoppy and malty tones. Short dry finish. Drinkable and not so horrible like almost light beers.

(Can. Thanks to SaintMatty) Straw colour with frothy, white head. Malty, grainy nose with notes of cereal, bread, hay and hints of tropical fruit. Malty taste with white bread, hay, corn, grain and faint traces of grassy hops. Thin body, with some malt sweetness. Fairly clean and quite decent.

500ml can (Rimi, Tallinn)
5- Very feeble malty and hoppy aroma, just hint of tanginess to the hops, maybe ginger.
2- Very pale, fizzy.
5- There are malts and grains in there, certainly. Retronasals actually quite hoppy, that ginger in the aroma was no hallucination.
2- Watery and fizzy. Not worth 2, but the finish is actually flavoursome - all those hops and breadiness do hang around for a while.
8 This is a paradox. I had to give it those almost-decent scores above because it does actually have all the components that one requires from an OK beer. A 5:2:5:2 would normally come in at a 10 overall, but as all the minus signs show, there was something undeserving about each of those too, so I have to punish it. It’s just too weak and watery for me to really enjoy. Remove half the water, and this would be a storming pilsner.

500ml Can - Pale golden with moderate carbonation. Malty and grassy aroma with hints of milky weetabix. Grainy and malty taste with hints of corn and weetabix. Watery, thin and tastes like a diluted version of their standard lager.
