Imperial Gold is a premium lager with a rich and full-bodied taste. The valuable malt delivered from Scotland gives it a deep golden colour and a thick head. The taste and appearance of A. Le Coq Imperial Gold are as worthy of royal attention today as they ever were.

Bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with medium white head. Aroma is malty, grass, flowers, corn and faint hints of incense. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter, light umami and light acidic. Body is milky with lively carbonation. Finish is long and dry with notes of malt, grass, grain, flowers, meadow, hay, straw and faint hints of ground coffee and dark chocolate. Fairly complex for a pilsner and well balanced.

Bottle from a supermarket in Platanias. Pours clear deep golden with a big creamy white head. Aroma is light sweet grainy, whiff of hops. Taste is on the sweet side with nothing special good going on.

Zarkam (422) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 13, 2014
400ml bottle from Tallinn, clear medium yellow colour, medium white mostly lasting frothy head, good lacing. Modrately malty aroma of grain and bisquit with notes of fruit, light floral hops. Taste is initially moderately sweet and slightly acidic, turning into a light bittersweet finish with a moderately astrigent feel. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Fairly ok lager, reminds me of a Helles or so, do prefer them a bit hoppier.

På fat som Grāfs fon Zīverss Lager. Klar guldfärgad vätska med vitt skum. Hö, majs och malt i såväl doft som smak. Svag beska. Liten kropp. Tråkig.

Bottle 0,40L. Clear, golden colour with lively visible carbonation and average big, frothy, white head. Citrusy - lemon aroma with some yeast and fruits in the background. Taste starts slightly acidic and turns to light bitter fast. Watery beer with light to medium body and soft carbonation. Nothing "classy" here, just ordinary lager...
