The flavor is sweet malty with strong caramel notes. An OK christmas beer. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 22, 2005 Updated: Jun 16, 2005(Bottle 50 cl) I believe Le Coq use their ordinary porter as the base for this but adding a little bit extra of everything on the ingredient-list. Very dark if not excatly black, light brown head. Good full body and solid, very burned notes from the malts with an underlying sweetness and a pronounced bitterness. A very solid porter. 140604 omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 28, 2004 Updated: Dec 28, 2004Bottled. Dark ruby. Vinous and phenolic. Medium sweet and medium bodied. Simple, straight forward maltiness. Very lightly spicy with some cellary notes. Too light bodied to make up for it’s flaws. yespr (7782), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 20, 2007 50 cL bottle, thanks to faroeviking.
