Bottle. Clear medium red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, sweet, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (221207)

Apr 1, 2008 Bottle (thanks Matt). Roasted aromas. Liquoricey sweetness, coffee and toasted malts. Slightly sweet fulll body (as expected from nose) but with nice roasty bitterness. Much more successful than the standard porter as the different elements come together well.
