Erasmus_ro (1188) - Alabama, USA - MAY 7, 2013
1250ml plastic bottle. Pours a reddish dark brown with a very small, off-white head. Aroma is a lot of malt bread, some dark syrup, light rye and caraway. Malt bread dominates. Taste is much, much too sweet, soda-like. Soda with malt bread mixed in. Could be pretty tasty, but sweetness and soda characters ruin it completely. Disgusting. Light, watery, soda-like, somewhat carbonated.

mikkopen (788) - Oulu, FINLAND - FEB 25, 2013
1 l bottle. Clear dark reddish brown, thin off-white head. Aroma of sweet rye bread. The flavour is sugary, with some cola-like fruitiness and that sweet rye bread again. Not particularly good.

Pours ruby-brown coloured. Terrible taste, too sweet. Fermenting bread, cola, berries. Watery mouthfeel.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 9/20
hlkanga (204) - - OCT 24, 2012
1000 ml bottle. Pours clear to slightly hazy ruby brown with minimal off-white head. Quite malty and sweet aroma with toasted notes, raisins, burnt sugar and mild notes of yeast. Aroma is a bit med-like. Taste is quite sweet, malty and sugary. Medium bodied, low carbonation and watery mouthfeel. Some raisins and malt in finish. Really sweet but also refreshing and good with food.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 10/20
Leighton (9848) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2012
Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Pours clear, red-brown with a small, white foam head. Smells like moldy brown bread slathered in dank cheese. Super sweet flavor with loads of sugary bread, raisins, dark dough, prunes. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Very sweet to finish with lots of sugary, doughy undercooked bread, more raisins, brown sugar. Just really, really damn sweet.

jackl (3861) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - AUG 17, 2012
Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. Oh my. What an experience this beer was. I think it was poured from a plastic container. Classy. The pour’s deep brown with no head. The nose is fermenting bread, marmite. The taste is much the same. I like marmite, but this was terrible. This warrants the gentleman’s 0.5...

EdKing (1756) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2012
Bottle at ChrisO’s pre-GBBF Shindig. Clear red brown colour. Smells like boiled sweets, burnt toffee, Mars bars, pretty damn sweet. Taste is like flat cola, but with sweet sugary caramel, and a cardboard tone. Not pleasant and not a beer.

Scopey (5528) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2012
Plastic bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012. It pours deep ruby-brown, with a quickly dissipating beige head. The nose is malty (akin to Ovaltine), earth, chocolate and sweet brown bread. The taste is chocolate, sweet dark malt, meaty, cola and brown bread, with a sweet finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Rather sweet! For what it is not too bad.

Marduk (2010) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 6, 2012
0,5l plastic bottle. Clear brown color. Very small head, disappears quickly. Sweet malts, bread in aroma. Not as sweet as I expected. And it’s good. Medium carbonation, dark plums, caramel. Refreshing. Good kvassi.
