hotstuff (3038), Indiana, USA Dec 20, 2003 Draft at A1A in St. Augustine. This was a poor representation of a Stout in that there was no Stout aroma and a poor flavor. It had a small sized light brown head with fine-medium sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. The only aroma that I detected was that of malt. The flavor was mild coffee and it stopped there. The palate was smooth and this was a light-medium bodied beer with fair lacing.
BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Jun 4, 2008 I thought this was a really well done stout. Rich and creamy on the mouthfeel, with some bittersweet chocolate notes, and a hint of roasted coffee. Well rounded and not overly sweet. The strange thing is why this stout is not rated higher. 49markan097 (9), USA does not count Apr 4, 2008 Poured black as night with a tan head. Aroma and taste of that second blessed drink, coffee. Mild, mild hint of chocolate. Palate was thin, lacking body. Guinness4Duff (464), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Mar 16, 2008 Pours black with a tan head. Has a roasted coffee and faint chocolate aroma. Taste is mildly roasted and sweet, seems a little thin but not bad overall. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Nov 25, 2007 Date: 11/18/2007
