I belive this pale ale is in the English tradition rather than the western over hopped ones. I found it true to type and an excellant one for extended sessions.

This beer poured an amber color. Some caramel and citrus in the nose. The flavor is rather tangy with some caramel, lemons, graprefruit, and oranges. The aftertaste was slightly bitter. Overall it was a decent APA.

Draft sample at the Southern Brewers Festival (9/2005). Sadly they were having trouble with the keg went I went to get my sample and the lady who was in charge of pouring really had no idea how to pour a beer to begin with. By the time I got my sample it was a bit flat. I rated it anyhow. Orange/amber color that was actually fairly dark with a generous head. The aroma was hoppy but soapy as well. Not unpleasant, just different. The flavor had sweet hints of malt, followed by lightly citrus hops. The body was medium and creamy. Easy drinking. Sessionable…perhaps…

on tap-pours an off white head and gold color. Aroma is somewhat sweet citrus-grapefruit/spice-some bite. Taste is citrus-grapefruit with some bite, secondary sweet light/medium malt. Light side of medium body.

On draft at the beer festival. This beer pours a nice copper color and had a small white head. It has a nice hoppy aroma. Not a bad drinker, I actually liked this draft over a competitor’s "IPA". Nice job.

On tap at the Florida Brewers Guild BeerFest 2009. Pours hazy deep gold with thin white head. The mild aroma has a little bit of malt sweetness, some earthiness and some citrus. The taste is earthy, tobacco and backed up by a light amount of malt sweetness. About midway I get a pulse of grapefruit hop bitterness and pineapple joining the other notes to create a rather interesting mixture of flavors here. It starts to taste like it may have some guava too. Yes, very interesting.

Golden Amber in color with a nice lacing white head. The aroma is bready malt dominated with a slight floral hop scent hanging out in the background. The flavor is similar with a toasted bread flavor balanced with some hop bitterness. The beer has decent body and a nice lingering aftertaste. This was the Florida made beer I had on this trip of three breweries.

I had the pleasure of trying this one when I moved from Atlanta to St. Augustine Beach 2 years ago. This one did not really come across as most American Pales do. Tasty on the palate, very dry smooth flavor, with just a little understated hoppy, fruity flavor.

Draft. Amber beer with a big whitish head. Floral/citrus hop aroma. Nice hop flavor (again citrus/floral). A little malt backing. Easy to drink.
