2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Koelschtrinker (7034) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 3, 2011

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2009 Bottled 50cl. It pours a hazy golden beer with a decent head. The nose is of strawberries, almonds and grapefruit accompanied by a huge amount of jasmine. A very pleasant, interesting and unique nose. Fruity taste which includes litchi, strawberries and grapefruit which is balanced by bready malt. Again, some jasmine showing up. Nicely balanced. Good bitterness. Poor lacework. Medium bodied. Unfortunately slightly grainy, some cereals sneaking in. Flowery components appearing with the swallow. Dry finish. Lots of sediment remaining in the bottle. Labeled as Oberländerbräu Hell. Definitely a enjoyable beer; honeyish.

Courtesy of Philippe (Bov) Cloudy golden color. The aroma is quite fresh and lets hope for the better, but the mouthfeel is a bit thin, and it has a light taste of cereals. Refreshing, just a bit above the Swiss average.
