COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Clear copper of color with an off white head. An aroma of malt, caramel, bread and weak hops. A flavor of caramel, cooked vegetables, bread and raisins.

Borring beer. I sence the caramel and the christmas flavour, but would rather drink a cold pilsener.

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing! The beer starts malty and smooth. Easy to drink with a nice caramel flavour in the background, very easy to drink with a dry roasted aftertaste. Not much sweetness there, the bitterness is low. Hints of dry roasted wood. Very nice and dry malty smooth stuff. In the aftertaste are hints of hazelnuts, roasted barley and nice earthy hops.

600 ml bottle, sampled at Den gamle by in Århus. Clear amber body with a small off-white head. Not very strong in aroma, malt, bread, some dry fruit and slightly spicy/fruity. Flavor is medium sweet malt, caramel, bread, light dry fruit, a hint of oranges and spices, low bitterness. Fine balanced body and short in aftertaste. Drinkable but rather boring, almost like just another pale ale with caramel and some spices type Christmas beer.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - orange Amber pour with small white head. Aroma and taste is math and herbal hoppy, lots of spicy notes going on, slight estery, straw and grassy, not sure on this one. ---Sent via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Egentligt en ok øl. Men nogen juleøl eller juleoplevelse er det altså ikke! Skuffende i kategorien... Selvom den er fra Århus.

Amber color with a fine tan head. Ok lacing. Caramel malty, bready and some faint spices in the aroma. Medium + body. A bit sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Bready, toffee, fruity, grassy and some faint spices. Not good at all.

Stable white, slightly coarse foam at this year’s Christmas beer from Aarhus. The fragrance is characterized by nuts, light citrus and caramel. The taste works in the first sip a little easy and anonymous, but it is a beer that you just have to give time to ’settle’. First impressions are reminiscent of a light brown ale, probably because of the strong flavor of nuts. But its character of bottom-fermented lagers is not to be mistaken, and after some time you sense also cloves and orange. It carries a basis of copious amounts of caramel malt, but as a whole it is well built up and has certainly plenty of Christmas. It is a bit far from what many other breweries choose to brew for Christmas, but I find it only positive that Aarhus brewery celebrate their Christmas with this beer which is guaranteed to stand really well to a well-laid Christmas buffet.
