madsberg (4377), Bangalore, India Oct 30, 2006 Draught 2006 batch. Golden/amber coloured. Unclear. Off white small head. Light christmasspiced and fruity aroma. Flavour has some cloves and orangepeel mingled with fruits. Vague herbal notes. Is medium bodied. Ends on a light fruit note. Not bad but compared to other of the christmasbrew a bit bland and uninteresting.
odgaard (18), Skyum, Thisted, Denmark Nov 29, 2008 Bottle. Hazy red/brown with a large offwhite lasting head. Aroma: Hops, malt and some spiciness, that could be orange. Taste: quite much bitterness and probably some of the oranges. under average co2. Not very interesting. plovmand (777), Helsinge, Denmark Nov 19, 2008 Bottle. Came at 6.0% ABV. Clear reddish brown colour with a medium off white head. Spices, hops and caramel in aroma. Hoppy and spicy flavour with a short aftertaste. Average xmas beer. fiulijn (6010), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Oct 5, 2008 Draught at Cockney Pub, Århus
Hazy amber color, creamy head. It has a grassy, manure aroma. Good body, quite smooth too; but the flavor, besides the caramel and some cinnamon, is also metallic, with ashtray-like burnt malt and too strong bitterness. Wrong. TBone (5172), Pori, Finland Sep 22, 2008 (Draught, EBF).
Light amber color, not much head. Some orange peels, cloves and sugar in the nose. Lively carbonation, sweetish flavors, diacetyl, clvove and other peppery spices plus grassy hops. Not very malty. Bland. JorisPPattyn (4642), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 17, 2008 Yellow beer, with mossy shine, little head. Dry, plywood, solvent & arachide in the nose. Solvent, old speculoos and spicy yeastesters. Aggressive MF, pretty full bodied, bit oily. A spicy mess, ouch.
