Sample from bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival. I can’t believe that Aarhus Bryghus wanted to embarrass themselves by calling this an "abbey beer in the India Pale Ale style". Seriously - this golden beer is not anything a true beer brewing monk would be proud of, and it is certainly not an IPA. Well, it is not horrible - just a boring pale lager with too little of everyhing.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2012 Bottle from a local grocery in Aarhus. Golden clear colour with a white head. Medium sweet and light bitter aroma. Maybee a bit to dominant alc taste. Medium carbonation.

Bottle. Pours golden yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt and sweet fruits. Taste is malty with notes of apple. Good bitterness in the finish.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is quite much bready malts, some grains, mild floral hops and some earthy notes. Flavour is quite bready malts as well as some grassy, floral hops and some mild herbal notes. OK, so I had expected to get something else than a Pale Lagerish beer claiming to be an IPA because of the name... I am still confused what exactly this beer is for real...

Golden, clear body, white foam. Fruity aroma, hay, bread, grass, floral. The taste has medium sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, oily feel, average carbonation, bitter, long finish.
