3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. The ratings look a bit up and down on this one. I quite liked it, but perhap for an imperial stout, it falls a little short. Sweet chocolate and roasty malt characters. Fairly straight forward, but somehow appealing.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Served this one as a "roadie" towards the end of a group tasting. Probably didn’t do it any favours, as it followed some pretty spectacular imperials and strong ales. Poured a teak colour, with a large fluffy head. Surprisingly sour chocolatey aroma, a bit smokey. Over-fizzy palate. Chocolatey and molasses-sweet on the tongue, with a big hoppy finish. Crap notes on this one. (Duff homecoming gathering, bottle obtained in trade with Papsoe - thanks Henrik!)

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bottle. Pours deep red/brown with a brownish head. Aroma is sour, bordering viengar. Hard to pick up any other impressions. Flavour is sweetish and sourish at the same time. Some plastic notes. Notes of something weird – old asparagus maybe. This is probably an infected bottle, but if they can charge 40 dkk a bottle they can also take the heat.15-01-06.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Really not a superb stout, as it does not really taste of the kind of dark beers that I imagine, but anyway it is drinkable, yet you are supposed to expect a little more when you give among 7 dollars for a single one.

A nice dark stout, but not much better than average. A bit too much taste of alcohol

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle 66 cl) Unclear dark brown with a creamy, beige head. An extreme sediment makes this beer muddy an unclean towards the finish - no real aesthetic pleasure... Rather violent carbonation. Lovely rustic, sweetish malt aroma. Nice balance between the dry, hard roasted, bitter malt and the added cane sugar. The finish contains both sweetness and bitterness. An odd but somehow strangely attractive bird. 021205

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
WTF. Something is definitely wrong. First impression of the aroma is "gunpowder residue". At first I thougt "that it’l probably go away after af few minutes". But still it tastes and smells of used fireworks + water. I’ll rerate this later, because this cannot be true...

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Draught. Medicine or plastic aroma. Very dark brown colour. Quite sweet flavour with some plastic. Something is wrong here, but the brewer did not agree, so my rating stands.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown, tall beige head. Rich malty flavour with notes of smoke. Good carbonation. Malty aroma. Coffee. Roasted malts. Smoke? Some underlying sweetness. Traces of licorice. Sugarsticky palate.
