Mads Langtved (2246) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - SEP 23, 2005
Bottled. Black appearance. Quite roasted. Very mild, this is absolutely not an imperial stout it is way too thin. However apparently there is a lot of alcohol in this, but it is well-hidden. A pleasant beer.

Sweet malty nose, with a fruity hint, some alcohol is present. Very dark brown, almost black body, almost no head. Very light roasty flavor, with notes of sweetness, ends light bitter and alcoholic. Very weak flavor. Defintely not an imperial stout.

Bottled. Dark brown coloured. Roasty and fruity aroma with chocolate notes. Sweet and mild flavour with quite some coffee and chocolate and notes of anise in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel. The alcohol is hidden. It seems lighter than 8%. Nice, but not very imperial.

Jeppe (2631) - Ølbutikken, DENMARK - SEP 13, 2005
Tall fluffy light tan head on a dark brown body. Roasted malt and chocolate aroma with grassy tones. Roasted in the flavor as well with tones of liquorice and anise. Quite sharp and biding on the tongue. Interesting, but not very balanced. Belgian stout style with comparison to Hercule.
