2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330 ml bottle. Golden body with a medium white head. Weak aroma of malt and grain. Flavor is weak malty, a bit fruity and almost descent bitterness. Quite similar to the ordinary Aass Pilsner, just a little bit sweeter malt flavor.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2004 Bottled. Golden colour, average head. Sweet and soft, lightly grassy. No extravaganzas on the 170th birthday it seems.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle pours light straw with a large frothy white head.   Decent carbonation, decent lacing.   Aroma is of straw and weak malts.   A tad bit musty too.   Flavor is quite weak, a tad sweet, mild malts.   Not crisp, a minor hint of sweetness.   Finish falls flat, jumps ship rather quickly.   For a 170th Anniversary Ale, I would have expected a bit more.
