2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tykjen (182) - Florø, NORWAY - MAR 2, 2007
Solid and malty without too much sweetness. Could have had some more malty dryness and smooth body.
2.4 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Gr0ve (1756) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 17, 2007
500 ml can. Dark brown colour with a reddish brown hue. Clear. Tall fluffy light beige head. Crisp citrusy münchenermalt aroma. Medium-bodied. Light grainy flavours. Some hop bitterness with a drying hop sensation. Surprisingly thin. I remember this beer being much sweeter, so things seems to have changed. No roasted character at all. Distant caramel, but the lack of sweetness hides that well. Would be hard to identify this as a dark beer in a blind test.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Dickinsonbeer (5077) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - OCT 26, 2006
16 oz can. Pours a deep amber with a fizzy large bead head and a little lace. Nutty light stale malt, light toasted malts, oxidation and a bit metallic. Flavor has a lot more metal- steely- iron like light dry grain, crackery and papery oxidation. Lightly sweet and a bitter finish, but overall it is too old and metallic.

Reddish to brown rich munich sweetness in the aroma and a taste to follow. Small hop flavor and smell. Could have more body
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 OleR (3510) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 8, 2006
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2006 Bottle. Clear reddish-brown color. Small off-white head. Sweet caramel and coffee/mocca aroma. Flavor is toasted malts and caramel. Light hopped and medium bodied. Smooth mouthfeel. Aass have made this Münchener for nearly 150 years now... and the 2006 version is probably the most drinkable Norwegian-brewed "Bayer" at the moment.
