50cl can. Pours clear amber with a light brown to off-white head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Sweet and malty with caramel and some bitterness. Quite ok.

Amber with off white head - nice malty aroma - solid malt body with hints of hop bitterness and long aftertaste - nice beer

Kestral (494) - Årnes, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2009
Can. Pours dark orange, 2cm offwhite head. Fairly sweet aroma, some toasted notes, caramel, but mostly metallic notes. Flavour is the same, with a too harsh metallic hop finish. A bit watery, light body, fizzy carb.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2010 A bit dissapointing beer. Amber colour with a slight tan head, almost no aroma. Malty, yeastie, bit fresh, some light watery/bitter taste but drinkable in small quantities, lightly sour. Average norwegian "bayer øl". oily feel, average carbonation, kind of sour after taste.

50cl can. Deep amber color with a nice tan head that slowly fades away. Nice lacing. Malty, sweet aroma continues through the flavor. Very smooth and easy to drink. Nice beer.

tfredvik (369) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 12, 2011
Clear, sparkling, medium brown body with a large, off-white head that reduces to a thin layer rather quickly, fair lacing. The aroma suffered due to completely wrong serving temperature: more or less straight out of the refrigerator. Therefore the aroma was very weak and boring, I could pick up some faint caramel, but the Aass trademark, the metallic notes, were just as present. As the beer warmed up the aromas and flavours came more into play, and a nice style typical caramel touch was obvious. The metallic notes were not present in the flavours. Medium to light sweet taste with a light plus bitterness. Soft carbonation and rather light body. All in all very similar to the Hansa bayer, but with more bitterness and, at least if served too cold, a fainter aroma. Still, decent stuff.

Not the best norwegian Bayer, but better than other products from Aass. Relatively full-bodied with hints of fruit.

jikvig (267) - NORWAY - JAN 1, 2011
An amber coloured beer, with a nice, thumbthick foam. Aroma; A nice maltprofile with caramel and spice as the main components. Flavour; Some caramel, spice and some coffee. A good carbonation, just alittle short finish. Summary; A good beer in can, not the biggest of beers, but a good one non-the-less!

Dark color with caramel malt and aroma. Fine bitterness for this beer-type. Best Norwegian commercial beer?

Solid and malty without too much sweetness. Could have had some more malty dryness and smooth body.
