2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Rune (4667) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 17, 2006
Last Friday eve (16.06.2006) I gave four Norwegian bock beers a try. Available were bocks from Aass, Mack, Borg and Frydenlund. Among them Aass Bock has the highest average score in RB and has been rated by more than 140, while the others have only around 20 ratings so far.
330ml bottle. Clear mahogany. Small off-white head. Slight lace. Strong malted coat nose. Malt, bread and raisin in flavour. A bit watery. A complex brew, but not the best among Norwegian bocks in my opinion.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Heavy malty aroma. Little hopp detected. A bit sweet flavor, average finish. Oily palate, not my favorite bock but ok.
