Bottle (33 cl) from Furseth, mange takk!. Clear deep reddish copper with a medium creamy off-white head. Roasted malt aroma, a bit syrupy, smooth mouthfeel, good balance. A bit one-dimensional but quite nice.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rastacouere (5900) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 2, 2007
Clear dark brown. Rich dark malt nose for a Norweigian bock. Toasty thick bread pudding maltiness that surprises again in mouth as the palate feels quite dry despite the low-profile nature of the hops. Not very complex and not very fruity, but comfortable and expanding mouthfeel ensures the drinkability and interest. Good.

Bottle. Reddish brown with a creamy tan head. Roasted caramel aroma with some nuttiness. Nutty flavours blending well with caramel. Overall quite sweet, though the finish is slightly drier. Light body. Not bad.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 altonbrownd (3419) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 17, 2007
Bottle at Trond’s house. Dark ruby colour. Lasting head. Sweet. Caramel. Malty. Slightly spicy. One of the smoothest bock’s I’ve ever tasted - very different from the Benelux variety. Watery and nowhere near as spicy as what I am used to - but good nonetheless. Also another MJ entrant.
