Dark red color with a creamy tan top. Aroma is amazing, chocolate with nuts, plenty of malt and caramel. Body is nicely sweet with a great chewy malt presence. Notes of licorice, nuts and a touch of smoke make this a top notch bock! Light iron notes in the palate detract points making it a few points below celebrator. Excellent.

one of my favorites i will take this over most german bocks i dont think anything may have changed though it seems just a bit lighter in body. beautiful maltiness well balanced seem like just a bit of licorice in the flavor which i find likeable

(on bottle, thx Sigmund for this and the other bocks of Norway)very dark brown, close to black beer.Has a wonderfull sent of freshly roasted dark malts, straight of the pan. Very smooth to drink, a bit creamy, witch is a good thing in my book. Not very high carbonated and no bitter hopping tat all. Wood and a dry feeling in the finish, and theres some hopping now, just to make you have another one.

Roasty sweet malts and a generous but not heavily sweet body. Satisfying and highly drinkable. A Scandanavian star worth stocking up on.
