This bottled brew poured a small sized head of fine to medium sized off-white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body was very hazy with no visible carbonation and brown in color. The aroma was grassy malty and somewhat off. The mouth feel was initially smooth then finished with a mild brown beer flavor. The flavor contained notes of brown beer malt dough a touch of caramel and wheat.

Canned (4.5%). Golden colour, rich head. Lightly grassy. Pleasant crisp light maltiness. Medium bitterness. A quality lager.

A surprisingly good beer! I got the can version, different, enjoyable. I am normally not a fan of light lagers, but I am a fan of Aass classic lager. Very surprised this beer came out of Norway.

Light amber orangy beige head foamy. Hoppy aroma slight skunk but not detractable from the overall beer. Green bottle. Smooth palate hoppy mild bitter.

Light amber color. Very malty flavor and aroma. I'm afraid this bottle is eldery, so unfortunately I cannot give a proper rating. Would like to try a fresh one again.

color is light amber..no head. very malty aroma...pure cereal. flavor is dead on with the aroma. not bad, but hardly interesting.

Pale orange copper. Air bubbles coated the sides of my glass. I could hear the bubbles popping. Sounded like Rice Krispies. Plain malty aroma and some dusty cardboard. Butternut flavor and fizzy palate. A half-aass Vienna compared to Aass Juleol.

Gr0ve (1756) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 29, 2003
Mellow full-bodied lager with a feel of wheat malt, even though the label says that only barley malt was used. A little darker than a regular lager. Not bad, but also not very interesting.
