2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
500ml can, trade with Cunningham, huge thanx, maaan!!!!
Pours golden yellow in the glass, with high, fine durable head. It smells sweet-malty, pleasantly hoppy, slightly grassy. Starts very grassy, with a lot of grain and hay, subtly hoppy-bitter in the background. The middle part is malty and spicy, subtly bitter, grainy and very hoppy. Goes into a bitter hoppy finish with a subtle musty maltiness and a lot of grain!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can:   Bright straw, clear, light carbonation, soft white foamy head, little lacing.   Soft grassy nose, minor hay.   Not dusty, not bright.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   A little fizzy on the tongue.   Semi-sweet grassy finish.   Simple, like most Norwegian beers, clean, but uneventful.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20

From bottle in Bergen. Clear golden color, with some particles. Pleasant hint of esters, not so pleasant hint of metal. Almost good - but not quite.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
330 ml bottle. The malt is kind of "overripe", and the freshness fades too quickly. The bitterness is fine, but in general this beer can’t compete with better draft beers.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
50cl can from Meny. Pours clear pale golden with a fluffy white head. The usual pale lager aroma; grain and malt, cooked vegetables and hint of metal and hops. Sweet and grainy with some bitterness in the finish. Needs to be well chilled to be drinkable. This was not cold enough and it is barely drinkable even though the weather is nice. Standard industrial pale ale.
