COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: A deep copper colored, top-fermented Yule Ale, distinguished by the aromas of Christmas. A full-bodied beer with good balance between sweetness and bitterness. Long finish. Goes well with traditional Norwegian Christmas dishes, powerful meat courses, game, and the cheerful moments of Christmas.

Aass Jule Ale ser helt ok ut i glaset, fast visar tecken på mycket kolsyra. Doften är väl iofs heller inte så illa, fast den doftar allt för mycket sötma. Smaken är lite småkryddig men mest metallisk.

Dark amber / brown with large off white head - nice bitterness from roasted malt and hops - lingering bitterness in the finish - good beer

Bottle. High creamy and long lasting off-white head leaving nice long curtains. Clear dark ruby body. Mild and sweet roasted barley malt with a soapy note. Mild sweet roasted barley malt flavor with a bit of caramel cocoa and a spicy note. A bit watery. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste.

Dark red/amber colored. A large tanned creamy head. Sweet roasted aroma. Flavor is very burned with a dry roasted aftertaste. Lacks sweetness for a proper Christmas beer, but not bad. KI=6

31.12.08: Christmas ale from my local brewery. The traditional christmas beer is even better.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Clear orangey brown with an off-white head leaving some laces. Lightly sweet caramel nose with a fruity touch. Medium body with roasted malt and lightly burned and ashy notes. Also has a little fruit and caramel. The finish is dry with a lightly burned bitterness. 220608
