(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Clear orangey brown with an off-white head leaving some laces. Lightly sweet caramel nose with a fruity touch. Medium body with roasted malt and lightly burned and ashy notes. Also has a little fruit and caramel. The finish is dry with a lightly burned bitterness. 220608

he best so far of the Aass Gourmet range. Some carmaels sweetness, a little spicy, rather soft beer. Fine head, some wheat malt probably adds to that.
Too thin and watery, I’d like to see a preium strength version of this.

Clear brown with large off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and chocolate notes. Sweet flavor with roated malt, caramel and spicy notes.

Bottle. High creamy and long lasting off-white head leaving nice long curtains. Clear dark ruby body. Mild and sweet roasted barley malt with a soapy note. Mild sweet roasted barley malt flavor with a bit of caramel cocoa and a spicy note. A bit watery. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and deep golden brown with a lacing tan head. Ligh chocolate note and vague spiced aroma. Mild chocolate malt flavour to a medium dry bitterness. Light bitterness into the finish mixed with a nice chocolate smoothness.

Bottle. Clear, red brown colour with a solid tan head. Malty, roasted caramel aroma that repeats in the taste. Some bready flavours, hints of rye bread spiciness. A bit watery texture. Middle of the road.

Bottled. A red-brown beer with a medium tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of dusty hops and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal and caramel as well as lighter notes of nuts, leading to a dry bitter and metallic finish.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2009 Big light beige head. Deep, dark red body. Flat roasty papery aroma of rye crisp bread (knekkebrød). Dry watery roasty rye crisp bread taste. Medium-bodied. Understated and not very Christmasy, but not bad, either. Half-decent. (0.33l bottle from Centra. Original rating was 2.7, rerate in 2009 gave it 2.9.)
