Bottle. Clear copper colour, big , creamy offwhite head. Nice caramel and spicy aroma with notes of rye bread. Nutty flavours, again the notes of spicy notes of rye, some sweet caramel, but still quite well-balanced. Texture is grainy and somewhat watery. Not at all bad.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 espenra (638) - Kurland, NORWAY - MAY 15, 2008
33cl bottle from Meny, Grønland. It poured an amber colour with a big foamy head that settles down nicely in the glass. The aroma smells of caramel and malts. It tastes of caramel, malts and raisins. It has a slightly metallic aftertaste, but that could also be because it was direct from the fridge and served colder than reccommended.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 gunnar (2628) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JAN 14, 2011
Can at home. Pours clear copper with a huge creamy off-white head. Spicy dark caramel aroma, some rye bread as well.Taste is more on the nutty malty side, medium sweet caramel. Not too sweet, rather neutral and well balanced brew. Slightly watery mouthfeel. Good beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jikvig (267) - NORWAY - JAN 1, 2011
A nice not-so-pale amber colour, with a agressive , off-white head.
Aroma; Some malt caracter with some toast, good fruityness and alittle caramel in the back aswell.
Flavours; Very fruity, red berries, the toast aroma in the mouth. It´s alittle sweet, but refreshing and good, finishing with some yeastnotes (grass/herbs?). Not a very big body.
Summary; The aroma/flavour profile is really good, but I wish it had a bigger body to support it!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 KnutAlbert (4587) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 10, 2007
A nutty beer with a fair bit of malty aroma. Well balanced, and it should be a fine beer to have with food. They call it a pale ale, but with the low level of bitterness, I would put this down as a mild - or maybe a browna le.
Not outstanding, but compared to all the lager swill from the Norwegian macros, this is a decent beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 15, 2007
Bottled. Amber colour, rich head. Flowery caramel aroma. Medium swet with rounded mouthfeel. Resiny hops provide some bitterness, but it remains rather simple. Fairly wel balanced with some pleasing hop character, but I guess more practice is needed before an old lager brewery can make really good ales.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 11, 2010
Can, 4.7%. Very weak caramelly aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Small stable frothy tan head. The flavour is OK refreshing. Has a little butter, but more importantly some refreshing hop, mostly grassy.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 larsga (4617) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 15, 2007
Medium white head. Deep copper body. Sweetish lightly roasty aroma, quite faint. Sweetish, roasty caramel and chocolate taste with nutty notes. Initially very mild; the roastiness sets in late. Dry, chocolatey, grassy aftertaste. Papery background throughout. This isn’t bad, but not very special, either. (0.33l bottle.)
