0,5l can purchased at Eurospar Tromsø. I was curious about this stout from Aass. First of all it is called a "Gourmet" stout (which sounds promising), and secondly you can buy it in the lokal supermarked. Although the name sounds promising, the beer doesn’t really live up to its name. Unlike many other stouts, the head on this one collapses almost immediately, but it does leave some nice lacings on the glass. The body is deep brown, nearly black. It has aromas of roasted malt, licorice, coffee beans, smoke and perhaps some dark chocolate. I can’t say I really care too much for the smoky aroma. Although these are some of the components you’d expect from a good stout (except the smokyness), it still tastes cheap.

This is a lager that is black for unknown reasons. Taste nothing like a stout ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flaske fra butikken. Mørk svart uklar. Liten skumtopp. Medium karbonert. Smaker røstet malt?, sjokolade, kaffe og lakris. Utrolig spennende til å være en industri øl. Ganske god

Coffee, cocoa and roasted malts in the aroma. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Light to medium body with a average carbonation. A hint watery. Overall a OK stout.

Can 50 cl b@eurospar, abv 4.7%. Cocoa light brown head, dots and few lacings, dark chocolate coloured body. Scents of some mild fruity stuff, vanilla or maybe cinnamon. Tastes dark chocolate, flour, roasted malts. Flour to palate. Somewhat watery. Aftertaste much of the same as taste, and a bit warming. Stout Light I would say.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2014 Pours a dark brown with a tan, slick head that remains for some time. Generally, the aromas are ridiculously mild for a stout. But there are hints of roasted grain, coffee and caramel, which are appropriate for the style. Somewhat sweet, not particularily bitter. The mouthfeel is a bit thin, but the carbonation is nice. This beer isn’t bad, so to say, but it is not the type of beer it claims to be.
